Experience symptoms of schizophrenia?

Learn about a new research study
for treating of negative symptoms of Schizophrenia

A new research study is investigating a potential treatment for negative symptoms of schizophrenia. Negative symptoms can include reduced facial expressions, lack of emotional response, loss of interest in the world, and other symptoms.

Schizophrenia affects approximately 24 million people worldwide.1 This study aims to provide a potential treatment for negative symptoms of schizophrenia to qualified study participants. You or a person you care for can potentially assist in the investigation. Determine eligibility below.

A new study for COPD

Nearly 60% of people with stable schizophrenia still struggle with negative symptoms of schizophrenia.2 A new study is seeking potential participants.

You or someone you care for may qualify If the below criteria are met:

  • Have had onset schizophrenia for at least one year
  • Have experienced negative symptoms of schizophrenia for at least six months
  • Are between 18 and 60 years of age

There are additional criteria to participate. If you or someone you care for meets the above, fill out the pre-qualification form below and provide a research site location with your contact information.

About the Study

Schizophrenia is frequently a chronic and disabling disorder characterized by positive and negative symptoms. There are treatments for positive symptoms such as hallucinations. 3 There is currently no Food and Drug Administration approved medication for the treatment of negative symptoms of schizophrenia.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational study drug when given to people who experience negative symptoms of schizophrenia. Study participants will attend regular visits to a local medical clinic at no cost. The effect of the potential treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects, and completing questionnaires. Eligible participants will be compensated for time and travel

The results of this study will provide more information if the investigational study drug could one day treat people who suffer from negative symptoms of schizophrenia.

Why Participate?

The study will assess the effects of an investigational study drug in treating people that suffer from negative symptoms of schizophrenia. The effect of the potential treatment will be checked by medical assessments, checking for side effects, and completing questionnaires. Negative symptoms of schizophrenia can become a burden to those impacted and their family/caregivers. Treating negative symptoms can improve the quality of life. This is why we seek volunteers to participate in a clinical study to assess the safety and effectiveness of an investigational study drug.
