Is your child suffering from Episodic Migraines?

Learn about a no-cost, new investigational medication to potentially prevent Episodic Migraines in children and adolescents.

Does your child or adolescent struggle with EPISODIC MIGRAINES?

Episodic Migraines are recurring, often debilitating moderate to severe headaches that occur fewer than 15 days a month. These migraines can cause sensitivity to light and noise, nausea, and vomiting. While they often begin in childhood, they become more frequent during adolescence.

Migraines can significantly disrupt the lives of children and adolescents, affecting their performance and ability to enjoy daily activities. If your child is struggling with Episodic Migraines, they may qualify for a new research study designed to help prevent these headaches.

This study, available at select U.S. centers, is testing a medication already approved for adults in the United States and Europe to see if it can prevent episodic migraines in children and teens. If your child or adolescent qualifies and chooses to participate, all study-related care will be provided at no cost.

About the STUDY

Episodic Migraines can significantly disrupt a child or adolescent’s daily activity and quality of life, affecting concentration, school performance, and overall well-being. While some medications are available to treat migraines, they are only approved for adults, not for children or adolescents.

This clinical trial will investigate the effectiveness and potential benefits of an approved migraine medication for adults in preventing Episodic Migraines in children and teens. The study will take between 5 months and 1 ½ years to complete, with the study medication administered monthly via subcutaneous (under the skin) injections.

The study includes trial-related medical examinations, questionnaires, ECGs, laboratory work, and assessments by medical investigators. There will be no cost for participating in the trial, and participants may receive reimbursement for transportation and the time required to participate.

Why Participate?

If your child or adolescent is struggling with Episodic Migraine, they may qualify for a new research study, now being offered at select centers throughout the U.S. The study is for an investigational medication administered by monthly injections to potentially prevent migraine headaches.
