Do you struggle with Major Depressive Disorder?
Major Depressive Disorder is a widely prevalent and serious mental health condition, and it is a major cause of disability across the world. An estimated 17.3 million adults in the United States have experienced at least one major depressive episode in their lifetime. Current treatment options, such as antidepressant medications, may take several weeks to be effective, have limited rates of remission, and may not work for some individuals.
This clinical trial aims to advance the understanding of mental health disorders and explore treatment options for Major Depressive Disorder in individuals who have not responded well to current antidepressant medication. If you have tried an antidepressant currently on the market and are still suffering from a major depressive episode, you may be eligible to participate in a new research study, now being offered at select centers across the US.
This study involves taking an investigational study medication once per day. If you qualify and choose to participate, you will receive all study-related care at no cost.
- Are between the ages of 18 and 65
- Have been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
- Have tried one or more currently available antidepressant medication(s)
- Are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant
About the Study
Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) can cause persistent sadness, loss of interest, lack of energy, and changes to sleep and appetite. These depression symptoms are usually severe enough to cause noticeable problems in day-to-day activities.
This study aims to potentially relieve the symptoms of Major Depressive Disorder in individuals who failed to benefit from one or more antidepressant medications and continue to have a depression episode. Participants will remain on the same stable dose of their current antidepressant and take a once-daily dose of the investigational medication in addition.
The clinical trial will take approximately 2 months to complete and will include trial-related medical examinations, surveys, ECGs, laboratory work, and assessments by medical investigators. There will be no cost associated with the trial, and you may also receive compensation for your time to participate.
Why Participate?
No-cost Study Care
You will receive study-related care from experienced doctors, nurses, and research staff.
Exams
The study will include physical exams, ECGs, laboratory work, and other assessments with a trained investigator.
Compensation
You might be eligible to receive compensation for your time and travel.
