ModernaTX Inc. is working on a new and improved mRNA vaccine to fight COVID-19 and its variants. Vaccine trials are crucial for learning more about COVID-19 and preventing serious illness. If you’re a parent or guardian to an adolescent aged 12-17 who has previously received a COVID-19 vaccine, they may qualify for the next-generation COVID-19 mRNA vaccine trial. It’s a one-time shot monitored by health professionals, and all study-related care is at no cost. Joining the trial can help to advance research and contribute to the fight against COVID-19.

  • Aged between 12 to 17 years
  • Previously vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Have not tested positive for COVID-19 in the past three months
  • Have not received a COVID-19 vaccine in the past three months
  • Are not pregnant

About the study

COVID-19 causes a flu-like illness with fever/chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle aches, and headache. Some patients may lose sense of smell or have cognitive effects like brain fog and memory lapses. There is also a risk of developing long COVID. This next-generation vaccine provides a longer shelf-life at refrigerated temperatures, uses lower doses, and its immune response against COVID-19 is comparable to the original vaccine.

This study is a key component in fighting emerging COVID-19 variants of concern and providing protection for young, elderly, and unvaccinated individuals. Participants will be given one intramuscular injection and receive periodic follow-up for up to one year. The study will take approximately 12-13 months to complete. All examinations, laboratory work, and assessments will be made by a medical investigator at no cost. Participants may receive compensation for their time.

Why Participate?
